Know Your Colors
Believe it or not, different shades of white will work better with different types of jewelry.
White Gown: White gowns work best with pearl and sterling silver jewelry. While beautiful, gold embellishments may clash with a bright white hue.
Diamond-white Gown: You can pretty much do anything in terms of jewelry with a diamond-white gown. Go ahead and pick your absolute favorite! Whether it be gold, silver, rose gold or pearls, you can’t go wrong.
Ivory Gown: Ivory gowns are a soft, light white and can sometimes have a bit of a yellow undertone. You should go for gold jewelry – this will highlight the creamy tint of the fabric.
Consider the Neckline
The neckline style of your gown can play a huge role in choosing the ideal jewelry for your wedding day.
Sweetheart or Strapless: You can basically do anything you want with a sweetheart or strapless neckline.
Choose an accent necklace paired with simple studs.
Or try the opposite, put the focus on your earrings by going with a larger option like chandelier earrings and pair with a simpler necklace – or even no necklace at all if you dare to be bare!
V-neck: Gowns with a V-neck give you the perfect opportunity for wearing a beautiful necklace and earring combo.

Play around with pearls for a classic look on your wedding day
If you’re going for more of a royal look, a crystal choker with matching earrings could be the perfect combo – think Lady Di
Halter or Reverse Halter: This neckline can give you some trouble if you had your heart set on wearing a necklace. Your safest bet in terms of jewelry is to go with a pair of stand-out earrings and a can’t miss bracelet to ensure you sparkle like a bride should:

Eve’s Addiction, along with one thousand women, attended the sold out ’50 Shades of Grey’ Girls Night Out with author E.L. James hosted by bookstore R.J. Julia at the Omni Hotel in New Haven, Connecticut.
We were excited to be there and give out over 500 pairs of CZ stud earrings along with gift cards and our most recent catalog. Our handcuff jewelry raffle was also a huge hit and we were pleased be able to end the night by giving five ladies handcuff bracelets, handcuff earrings and handcuff necklaces.
It was definitely a night to remember! E.L. James was simply spectacular. Everyone was having such a great time and it was really fun to give away such nice earrings. Everyone seemed really happy about that!
The highly anticipated event drew crowds from near and far and featured and the audience was awesome! Enjoying the night in black boas and masquerade masks, they cheered, laughed and applauded as James won them over with witty and modest answers in her British accent.
James reminded us not to take the book too seriously when asked about some of the feedback it was getting. “It’s a love story,” said James. “That’s it.”
E.L. James also received her very own set of handcuff jewelry from Eve’s Addiction and will continue her book tour along the East Coast. With Universal Pictures recently acquiring the film rights to the entire triology, there has been non-stop speculation as to who will play the leading characters, Christian and Anastasia. When James was asked if she had anyone in mind for the part, she replied: “Yes, but I’m not telling.”

Sunday marks the 1 year anniversary of Prince William and Kate’ Middleton’s Royal Wedding! Now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Catherine, continue to write headlines and draw attention from just about every corner of the globe.
Let’s take this opportunity to go back in time to the wedding exactly 1 year ago:
Always the stately matriarch, Queen Elizabeth II shined brightly with a yellow dress suit, pearl earrings, and a vintage ribbon brooch.
Camilla dressed similar to the queen in a baby blue and champagne outfit with pearl drop earrings, a single strand pearl necklace and matching pearl bracelet. Such a style is typical for people attending weddings and can be simply accomplished with a freshwater pearl jewelry set of earring, bracelet, and necklace.
For a more modern style, Kate’s mom Carole opted for a pair of diamond and tourmaline pink pendant with matching earrings to accent her light blue ensemble. It’s easy to see where Kate gets her good looks and sensible style from!
Kate’s sister, Pippa, also looked absolutely stunning for the wedding. Her earrings perfectly matched her outfit and balanced well with her sister’s royal earrings that day.
Last, but certainly not the least, the belle of the ball Kate Middleton (now to be known as the Duchess of Cambridge) beautifully accessorized her wedding gown with the a vintage tiara and simple dangle earrings that were a wedding gift from her parents. And let’s not forget about the greatest accessory of all: Kate Middleton’s Engagement Ring. Kate failed to disappoint with her sophisticated, yet modern, bridal style, setting a positive example for any young bride on their wedding day.
